Obtaining citizenship to Australia for my whole family?

Hi,
I am in the process of obtaining my citizenship to Australia by desent because my mother is Australian and I plan to move over there with my family. The problem is, my partner (who I am not married to yet) and her son aged 3 (which I am not the biological father to) are moving with me. How do I get them into the country? Can I get the citizenship? If I become legal guardian to her son will that give him automatic citizenship? Whats the best way to do this? Thanks

I am an amercian who has is a permanenet resident of Australia and have been for many years. I heard that the legislation had changed in relation to Americans holding duel citizinship. I would love to become an aussie citizen, however I would never relinquish my amercian citizenship. Thanks.

Should Australia offer Citizenship to Canadians who hope to compete at the Games, yet just miss out?

Both countries seem very similar, Australia much better in Summer sports & Canada in Winter, but if the Canadians have so many winter athletes who would otherwise miss out, than why not let them come to Australia for a much better way of life & compete at the highest level at the next Winter Olympics? No doubt they would appreciate a superior life style.

Assuming i have already completed my 3 years stay in Australia and at least one year as a Permanent Resident. Also, assume that i have finished my citizenship exam. (Lets say i lodge the application on June 26, 2009)

How to travel with dual citizenship to Australia/USA?

I hold dual citizenship to Australia/USA (Australia by birth/USA by marriage). I am traveling to Australia (permanently reside in USA) for a two-month trip. Should I use my US passport to enter and leave the US and my Australian passport to enter and leave Australia? If so, won't their be questions at the borders about no entry/exit stamps? Thank you!
